1. What are you looking for in a potential candidate to come and work for Home Depot?

“We are looking for candidates that have a strong knowledge of object oriented programming. “

2. When looking at a candidate, is it important that they have previous internship, professional work experience, co-op experiences?

“We offer two different things, one is an internship and one is a full-time position. For the internship, we do not really look for previous experience because it is an internship. We expect a good GPA.”

3. When looking at two candidates, what makes one stand out over another?
“Obviously, their technical knowledge is one and personality would be the other and how they handle the interview.”

4. Are there any tips you have for candidates to prepare and have a potential at Home Depot one day?

“For the candidate we are looking for, it is the background in computer science, software engineering or MIS. We are looking for someone who is technically proficient, a quick learner in picking up the development languages and understanding a data structure.”
